It was Jackson's dream to build a studio when she retired from her bussiness. She had always shared studios with friends and also wanted to share her own studio with others.
Her studio is also her guest house and party house. She has had several guest artist stay in her studio, Tom Browning, Matt Smith, HongNain Zhang, Lois Woolley, Tony Eubanks, Quang Ho, Robert Moore, Ron Rencher, Ann Templeton and Bob Rohm.
The studio is built in the old southwest style and to look like it has been there for many years. The name of the studio is "Las Animas", which means soul in spanish and it has a spirital feeling when you enter.
